Hotel resort on the east coast
There are hotels in almost every category in Sardinia, but not every category in every region.
On the Costa Smeralda, for example, you will only find hotels for the more discerning traveller at a correspondingly high price.
It is very pleasing that Sardinia has been spared from the construction of huge hotel complexes with the associated immense amount of costumers. The architecture of almost all the hotels blends in well with the surroundings.
The authorities have divided the hotels into 5-star categories.
A direct comparison of the room furnishings is definitely worthwhile. The room facilities of a hotel in a lower category can be as good as those of a hotel in the next higher category. Despite the generally high hotel prices, you can save a little here.
As with all other types of accommodation, book in good time, especially for July and August! In the high season, rooms are often only offered with half board.
The following price list can only serve as a rough guide, especially as prices can fluctuate greatly depending on the season. You should also check the facilities in each individual case.
1-star
Simple guesthouses that are rarely found, rooms not always with private bathroom.

Simple middle class, sometimes only with shared bathroom
