Internet access is possible almost everywhere

Going online in Sardinia has become much easier in recent years.

On most ferries, Wi-Fi is also provided in the restaurant area.
This service is also becoming more and more common in hotels and in many holiday flats and holiday houses.
Camping sites often charge a fee for use and their routers are quickly overloaded by the many accesses during the high season.

Public Wi-Fi hotspots are available in larger cities and occasionally in seaside resorts.

Another option is to connect online via smartphone using one of the Italian mobile phone networks.
In the meantime, roaming charges have been abolished within the EU, so you can use your mobile phone just like at home without incurring additional costs.

If you want to surf the internet on Sardinia with your laptop, for example, you can either use your smartphone as a hotspot or take a mobile wireless router with you.
The network coverage is generally sufficient. However, during the high season there can be bottlenecks and thus slow data transfer because the bandwidth is simply too low for the many tourists.
